#163 Atlanta, GA (Hampton Inn Atlanta Perimeter)

July 28-29, 2018

Description:

Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) are a common and widespread problem around the globe with conservative estimates labeling 16% of adults as being impacted by TMD. However, contemporary clinical practice informs us that far too few healthcare professionals are capable of providing skilled evaluation and management services for TMD. As a result, countless patients are left with virtually zero viable, effective, and/or efficient options when searching for an avenue through which to resolve their TMD symptoms. This course provides knowledge and skills required to begin providing competent clinical services with respect to the evaluation and management of TMD. Background information is reviewed in detail, joint mechanic is explained, relevant pain science content is discussed, and comprehensive approach for the examination, diagnosis, and management of recurrent TMD is presented. Upon completion of this two-day course, participants will possess basic academic and clinical training required to begin providing skilled services for TMD. (Intermediate Level)
