GOTA Annual Conference Special Guest:

GOTA is excited to announce that Dr. Rachelle Dorne, M.Ed., Ed.D., OTR/L, CAPS will attend the 2019 GOTA Annual Conference and Business meeting September 27th-29th.

Dr. Dorne is serving a 3-year term as the Region II Director on the Board of the American Occupational Therapy Political Action Committee (AOTPAC). Region II includes Georgia, Florida, Maryland, N. Carolina, Pennsylvania, S. Carolina, Virginia, Washington, DC, W. Virginia. In this role, Dr. Dorne advocates for political action for AOTPAC and AOTA members at the state and national level, and educates members about political issues facing the occupational therapy profession. She has a passion for civic engagement and professional advocacy. Dr. Dorne has participated in AOTA Capitol Hill Day for 5 years with students from Florida and Virginia. Since August 2018, she has served as the Director of the Occupational Therapy Program (MOT) at James Madison University. Her practice interests include productive aging, home modification using universal design and hoarding by older adults.

Contributions to the OT PAG fund can be a dollar (and up) and will be thoughtfully utilized to support issues, people and activities that contribute positively to the OT profession in Georgia. The OT PAG is a political action committee and is not fiscally tied to GOTA. Contributions or gifts to GOTA PAG are not deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes. Any tax questions regarding this item should be directed to your tax advisor.
